Introducing Cameron Park Chiropractor Dr. Petrice Foxworthy
"For years I suffered with headaches and was told they were normal tension headaches," remembers Dr. Petrice. "'Just take some Tylenol and you'll be fine,' said my doctor. Well nine years later and increasing usage of medication, I was not fine. Something had to change. I just wish someone had told me back then that chiropractic could help.
Dr. Petrice Foxworthy continues, "I knew I made the right decision shortly after beginning regular chiropractic treatments from my assigned intern. My headaches began to decrease and go away after just a few adjustments from a student giving her very first adjustments. Nine years of increasing medications and all I needed was an adjustment."
Dr. Petrice began her pre-chiropractic education at UC Davis where she studied the basic sciences such as inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry, biology, along with basic physiology and anatomy courses. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in genetics.
After completing her study there, she was accepted at Palmer College of Chiropractic West in San Jose, California. During her four years at Palmer, courses included biochemistry, a major emphasis on anatomy and human physiology, x-ray, diagnosis, chiropractic adjusting techniques and patient care in the Palmer College Public Clinic. After graduating in 2000 Dr. Petrice worked with other chiropractors in Salinas, California before moving to El Dorado County and opening her practice in 2002.
Our purpose at Cambridge Chiropractic is to educate our community about health, healing and chiropractic and assist every member of our community in reaching their optimal health potential through chiropractic care. We believe health is not one size fits all. We love educating our patients and community members on a variety of health topics including: menopause, nutrition, exercise, goal setting and vaccines just to name a few.
Dr. Petrice is married to Matthew and they have two beautiful children, Aidan and Megan who are frequent visitors to the office. They are rarely sick and have not been vaccinated (If that sounds interesting, be sure to ask Dr. Petrice to explain!) We enjoy water skiing, snow skiing, camping, cycling, swimming and travelling especially to Disney destinations.
"Chiropractic has changed my life. Before entering chiropractic college, I exercised occassionally and ate lots of processed foods. I was sick every year with colds and flus. Now I am rarely sick, eat healthy well balanced meals and have made exercise part of my lifestyle as well as chiropractic. My family and I are adjusted every week. We know it is a part of a healthy lifestyle and why we are so healthy. I have recently started competing in triathlons completing my first "Tri" August 2007. Thanks to chiropractic care, I was not sore at all after completing my triathlon."
"Enough about me! How can we help you with today’s safe and natural chiropractic care? Give us a call so we can help you take your first step towards better health."
